A total of 11,101 students enrolled during the 2017 spring semester at The University of Alabama were named to the Dean's List with an academic record of 3.5 (or above) or the President's List with an academic record of 4.0 (all A's). The UA Dean's and President's lists recognize full-time undergraduate students. The lists do not apply to graduate students or undergraduate students who take less than a full course load.
The University of Alabama awarded approximately 5,000 degrees during spring commencement May 5-7. The University of North Georgia awarded more than 1,800 degrees and certificates for the spring 2017 semester, including hundreds awarded in commencement exercises held May 5-7 at the university.

Liberty League commissioner Tracy King has announced that 222 winter sport student-athletes have qualified for the league's 2016-17 All-Academic Teams in their respective sports. A total of 32 RIT student-athletes earned All-Academic honors for the winter season.

Nineteen students and five faculty leaders recently returned from a study abroad trip to Arezzo, Italy. This was the third annual Arezzo trip where students were able to reside and study at the Accademia dell'Arte in Arezzo. From Arezzo the students traveled to various Tuscan towns such as Assisi, Orvieto, Cortona, Florence, Siena and Rome.
